Fredrik Backman (b. 1981), made his literary debut in 2012 with the global sensation A Man Called Ove. Wickedly funny, touching and wise, Fredrik Backman’s novels are odysseys of the ordinary man and woman, and stunningly moving tales of everyday courage. Up to now, Fredrik Backman has written seven highly acclaimed novels, two heartfelt novellas about life and love, and one non-fiction book about parenthood. His novel Anxious People became an instant No. 1 New York Times Best Seller, and the entire Beartown series has been shortlisted for multiple awards and occupied the No. 1 spot on numerous bestseller lists.

His books have sold more than 19 million copies in 46 languages, and the Swedish film adaptation of A Man Called Ove was nominated for two Academy Awards. His latest projects include a special edition of A Man Called Ove, celebrating the 10 year jubilee with new extra material, as well as a Hollywood film adaptation of Ove which stars Tom Hanks.
