Days of our lives

Min fru och jag har varit tillsammans i nio år. Vi träffades i april, vi blev tillsammans i maj, vi flyttade ihop under sommaren. Vi har varit gifta i sju år. Vi förlovade oss i Barcelona hösten 2008 och hade två olika bröllop i Sverige sommaren efter, en persisk vigsel i Stockholm i juni och en svensk vigsel i Skåne i augusti. Vi har två barn, sex och tre år gamla.

Jag försöker inte skylla ifrån mig här.

MEN DET ÄR GANSKA MÅNGA SPECIELLA DAGAR ATT HÅLLA REDA PÅ VARJE ÅR DÅ.

Så när jag kommer hem igår, trött och sliten efter en lång hård arbetsvecka, och min fru sitter och surar i köket för att jag har ”glömt hennes viktigaste högtidsdag!”, då önskar jag mig kanske lite överseende. Lite tålamod. Lite rimlighet och resonlighet.

För nej, det var inte vår bröllopsdag. Det var inte vår förlovningsdag. Det var inte mors dag eller en födelsedag eller en namnsdag.

Det var ”Internationella Champagnedagen”.

Min fru hävdar att detta är ”alla småbarnsmammors julafton”. Det borde tydligen vara en ”nationell helgdag” där alla som ”tar skit” får ledigt från jobbet för att ”dricka bubbel och ta noll skit!”. Hon var ganska uppe i varv över det här, min fru, så efter en stund urartade alltihop i att jag fick en utskällning för att jag inte hade köpt någon present till henne. På hennes speciella dag.

Jag frågade lite ogenomtänkt vad för slags present det skulle ha varit, för hon HADE ju redan champagne hemma. Men på det var svaret givetvis ”mer champagne”. Jag ska inte säga att hon morrade. Men det kändes som att hon morrade.

Och sen muttrade hon något om att ”men kanelbullens jävla dag, den glömmer du minsann ALDRIG”. Och då kände jag faktiskt att det här hade gått för långt. För ALLA dagar är fan kanelbullens dag!

Men då påminde hon mig tyvärr om att på förra kanelbullens dag så bakade hon faktiskt kanelbullar åt mig. Och då hade jag liksom inga argument kvar. Så det slutade med att jag fick sätta på mig byxor och gå runt hos våra grannar och fråga om någon av dem möjligen hade en extra flaska hemma som jag kunde få köpa loss eftersom min fru hotade med skilsmässa annars. För tydligen så är det ”reglerna om man glömmer champagnedagen och alla vet det!!!”.

Jag vet inte om det finns andra familjer har så här dysfunktionella trick-or-treats varje år.  Men jag känner i alla fall att jag är uppvärmd inför Halloween nu.

(Och en av grannarna hade kanelbullar hemma så vi var faktiskt alla vinnare i slutändan.)

  2. Tja, det finns temadagar för de flesta av årets dagar så passa på och utnyttja detta faktum efter eget gottfinnande.

    Idag är det t.ex. ”hackkorvens dag” och det kan väl vara något att fira. 7 november är kladdkakans dag och den 11:e är det chokladens dag. Och snart kommer även smörgåstårtans dag snart följd av ostkakans dag. Resten får du leta själv.
